Human-System Interaction

I’ve spent much of my career helping humans and systems understand each other better from accessibility and language to cognition and automation. It started back home in Jakarta, where I worked as a licensed behavior technician supporting neurodiverse clients, and later at my dad’s coin laundry, where I first noticed how small inefficiencies and human habits shape systems.

Since then, I’ve built tools that bridge people and machines, EEG-based neurotech, adaptive interfaces, and AI automations for

startups and researchers.

Research:

Decoding Traffickers (IEEE): Information networks and signal analysis

Upcoming: CS 194, Human and AI Motivation

Industry Experience

Lucid Motors — Full-Stack Project Lead

Second Front Systems — DevSecOps Intern

UCB Haas IBI — Finance Automation and Agents

Toko + Nudge Lab — Builder

Deployed multi-agent system for EV market intelligence using browser-based Playwrite and LANGgraph agents and Exa search.

Automated compliance pipelines and evaluated defense ML architectures.

Building agents to automate the reimbursement and signing processes across 8 different research orgs inside IBI.

Developing context-aware AI assistants and small business automation tools.

Personal / Hackathon Projects

Veso: I was an early creative partner to founder Chris Beyer helping shape the brand feel and visual direction of Veso, an aperitif crafted and bottled in San Francisco. (Shown Right)

Knowhere Festival: Partnered with a small team to launch a new kind of festival at the intersection of music and wellness. As creative lead, I oversaw design, branding, and the full visual experience. The festival has already attracted headliners such as Diplo and Tycho.

College Weekly: Co-founded and launched the company, producing and distributing original media experiences that connect deeply with the college demographic. College Weekly is a multi-platform media and marketing company creating experiences for college students through tours, original content. I left the company in 2018.

I’m Danica, a Cognitive Science and Mechanical Engineering student at UC Berkeley. My work focuses on building systems for people

tools that help humans understand, adapt, and think alongside technology.

Some of my projects center on neurotechnology, while others explore AI and automation, from contributing to initiatives with Lucid Motors,

UC Berkeley (Haas), Uber Eats, and Second Front Systems, to creating independent tools like Toko, an adaptive feedback assistant, and Memory Mirror,

an EEG-based reflection interface for emotion and focus. Outside of tech, I make ceramics, vlog often, and teach CS198: Applications in Neurotechnology

at UC Berkeley. (Fun fact: one of my projects was once featured on Southeast Asian news!)

Memory Mirror: EEG-based emotion reflection tool for focus visualization.

Soul: Smart Insole for Diabetic Foot Ulcer Prevention.

Neurotech @ Berkeley: Join our class CS198! Applications in Neurotechnology is OTW to being a Edx Course.

Human Systems Blog & Podcast:

Writing and interview series exploring neuroadaptive design and human-centered AI.
